Family Tours

Equatorial Travel has extensive experience organising tours designed for families. We have organised trips both tailor made and as group tours for adventurous mums and dads with babies through to toddlers, kids and teens.

Our aim to give you as a family an adventurous holiday doing things and seeing things out of the ordinary and which will remain in the memory. And as a specialist agency we want to take you off the tracks away from where all the mainstream tours operate.

BUT we also know that our little darlings like to spend time messing about in the water. So we always try and organise itineraries that get the right balance between adventurous travels and good old fashioned relax time.

Whatever your taste, whether it be off road 4x4 in the Sahara, nature walks in the sub-Amazon or exploring palaces and forts in Rajasthan we can do it for you. Either as a complete holiday or as part of an independent trip
In Morocco and Ecuador we run a group family tour each Easter.

Tailor made

We will happily organise a tailor made holiday for your family.

In Morocco the best times are between October and May though we have organised outside of this time. As we specialise in the Sahara you will most likely want to visit other parts of Morocco as well as the Sahara. In these areas you are best travelling independently.

We can organise hotels/riads and transport for you. For the Sahara we suggest at least four days to see it without exhausting the kids in endless travel.

Even though there is no age limit as such we would recommend our trips in Morocco being suitable for ages 6 upwards. Obviously the older they are the more they get out of it.

Ecuador can be done all year round. Because of the extensive commitments of our guide Ivan it is best to plan a long time in advance. In general we would plan this as an escorted tour from start to finish.

As we specialise in national parks in the countryside these tours would appeal to families with a sense of adventure. In general we would suggest an age of 8 upwards but in the end you know your family abilities.

Rajasthan would be best travelled between September and March though for those of you used to the heat then April is also possible.

The ideal time for school holidays would be half terms and xmas/new year. If you were interested in New Year then pre-planning is definitely required as the hotels fill quickly.

If you have any questions just e-mail or call. Everyone involved in Equatorial Travel whether it is in the UK, Morocco, Ecuador or Rajasthan has kids. We all know what it’s like to travel with children and we all understand what they need.
